Battle of the McBurrito

Due to the recent discussions that arrived from Chris' blog entry about Chipotle I have decided to give my likes and dislikes about the four main "Mexican grill" franchises here in Tampa (no, I'm going to even mention Taco Bell). Think of this entry as if I was comparing Burger King with McDonalds and the rest of the rat pack.
Panchero's

It's close to where I live in Wesley Chapel. The only item I believe worth getting is the burrito (chicken, steak, piggy, veggie and sometimes shrimp). As long as you know what items are free (all three salsas, corn, sour cream, etc) you can make a nice burrito. The tortilla is made at your order, pressed for 2 seconds or something.. pretty neat.

Moe's Southwest Grill

One interesting thing about this place is the menu. They named their platters after memorable quotes from iconic TV shows. I can't remember what dish refers to which title, goes to show how original the food is. The nacho plate is pretty good and the employees are good natured. If you need some Mexican food before going to into Muvico, this place is could do the trick.

Chipotle

I remember Chipotle being one of the first Mexican grille franchises to arrive here at Tampa. I like the menu format. Depending on what meat you order, the price varies not mattering what form your choose to it in (burrito, taco, salad, etc). I think they sell beer too and Coke products *wink.

Q'doba

I tried hard to be objective with the other restaurants, but this place really sucks balls. The one time I went there, the menu was confusing and the employees were not helpful almost rude. The moron who made my burrito folded the burrito like a a crappy napkin roll. Half way into the burrito I was feeling odd and the tortilla was dismantling... needless to say I am never going back and passing by that place is an eye soar.

In reality if you want fast food style Mexican you are missing out on the real deal if you're not going to Taconazo okay amigos? :)
