Naughty Food Confessions
Thai Ruby
I had lunch at Thai Ruby today. It's walking distance from where I just moved to, which is a huge bonus. I ordered the grouper red curry for $8.95. The ingredients consisted of a grouper filet with red curry paste in cream of coconut, pineapple, bell peppers and bamboo shoots. It was very tasty!
The battle of New York
Monday was pizza day for Chris and I.
Looking for new places
I'm currently looking for new places to eat. I've been lazy the past few weeks. Every time I consider eating out, I change my mind and eat some leftovers at home. That's going to change soon. There are a few places I have in mind. One is the Best New York Pizza. It's located on Dale Mabry and Bearss. Most of you have probably seen the guy stand outside with a giant sign. I've read a few reviews online and the people in Tampa seem to enjoy it. After I eat there, I'll let you know what I think.
2009
2009 is going to be a good year. As for GNAtv, I think it's going to be a great year!
Pei Wei Asian Diner
I visited Orlando this past weekend. While there, I stopped by the Pei Wei Asian Diner. I had the Thai Coconut Curry with vegetables & tofu. The ingredients consisted of green curry coconut sauce, ginger, Thai basil, red bell peppers, onions and long beans. It was delicious. It came out to $7.25 plus tax. It's a pretty big restaurant. They have locations all across the U.S. but I honestly can't discount them. The food was certainly tasty. I believe there are two locations on Dale Mabry if anyone wants to check them out.
Top 10 sandwiches
10. Peanut butter and jelly
Admit it. It never gets old!
9. Meatball sub
It's hard to get this wrong. You can pretty much go anywhere and have a good one.
8. BLT
Bacon, lettuce and tomato. I don't eat bacon a lot but I definitely enjoy the occasional BLT.
7. Turkey and stuffing
It's my favorite part of Thanksgiving.
6. Chicken Parmesan
Like the meatball sub, they're good anywhere you go.
5. Red baron
It's a must have at Mr. Dunderbaks. Roast beef, oven roasted turkey and garlic cream cheese on pumpernickel bread. It's simply amazing!
4. The Reuben
La Teresita
Grayson and I ate at La Teresita today. I had the chicken and yellow rice with the black bean soup and platanos on the side. It was delicious. The portions are huge and I only paid 6 bucks for it. I highly recommend it!
Philly Phlava
I recently visited Philly Phlava. I should note I have had a real Philly cheesesteak. I even had one recently when I stopped in Philly to catch my flight to Boston. You can eat a hundred different ones and know when you've had the real deal. There is just something about it. The bread, the cheese, the meat, the grease. It has to be perfect. When I stopped in at Philly Phlava in Tampa, I wasn't expecting much. But I turned out a little surprised when I left. It is probably the closest I have found in Tampa. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
